This website is operated by Mid-Ulster Victims Empowerment (MUVE), a registered community organisation supporting victims and survivors of the Troubles.

  • You agree not to use the website for unlawful purposes or to infringe on the rights of others. 
  • You must not misuse our website by knowingly introducing viruses or attempting to gain unauthorised access to the site or its servers.

Prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. 
c. Orders 
When you place an order, you will receive an email confirming receipt. Your order is not accepted until payment has cleared, and we dispatch the item(s). Should the item be out of stock, we will offer another choice of item or part or a full refund. 
d. Payment 
We accept payment via secure third-party providers (e.g., Stripe). MUVE does not store credit/debit card information. 
e. Delivery 
Delivery times may vary depending on your location and selected shipping method. MUVE is not responsible for delays outside our control. 
f. Returns & Refunds 
If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery. We do not accept returns for a change of mind unless otherwise agreed. 
5. User-Generated Content 
If you submit comments, testimonials, or reviews through our website or social media, you grant MUVE a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content.

Mid-Ulster Victims’ Empowerment (MUVE)
MUVE is a registered Company limited by guarantee (NI618412) and is also registered with the Northern Ireland Charities Commission (NIC100714). A voluntary organisation supporting victims and survivors of the Northern Ireland Troubles through welfare services, advocacy, counselling, therapies, and associated community support.
We also operate an online shop and stalls selling products, resources, and MUVE-branded items to support our charitable work.

  • All support is subject to staff availability, safeguarding requirements, and assessment of need.

All personal information is handled in accordance with MUVE’s Privacy Policy and the UK GDPR.

MUVE will:

  • Only share data with third parties with your explicit consent, unless legally required.

5. Online Shop — General Terms

MUVE operates an online shop offering books, publications, resources, and charitable items.
By placing an order, you confirm that:

We aim to dispatch products within the timeframe stated on the website.

8. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the item, provided the item is:

  • In original condition
  • In original packaging

Non-returnable items:

  • Digital downloads
  • Services that have already commenced
  • Personalised or custom products

If an item arrives faulty or damaged, MUVE will provide a replacement or refund.

9. Cancellation of Services

If you book a therapy, counselling, or welfare appointment:

  • Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if cancelling.
  • MUVE reserves the right to refuse future appointments for repeated non-attendance.

MUVE may cancel or reschedule appointments due to staff availability or unforeseen circumstances.

10. Behaviour & Safety

MUVE operates a zero-tolerance policy towards:

  • Abuse
  • Threatening behaviour
  • Violence
  • Harassment

Anyone displaying such behaviours may be refused support, removed from events, or reported to authorities.

11. Liability Disclaimer

MUVE will not be liable for:

  • Losses arising from the use of our website
  • Decisions made on the basis of our welfare or advocacy support
  • Emotional distress caused by discussing traumatic experiences (although we provide support and signposting)

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where unlawful (e.g., fraud, death caused by negligence).
