MUVE has been fortunate to secure funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund to establish new arts and crafts facilities. These spaces are designed to support both formal and informal crafting activities, fostering creativity, skill-building, and social connection.
Activities include:
- Woodturning
- Ceramics
- Flower Arranging
- Sewing
- Upcycling
- Garden Furniture Making
We offer a wide range of options to ensure there’s something for everyone, encouraging participation, learning, and enjoyment in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Social Events
An important part of our work at MUVE is providing social opportunities for our members. These events offer connection, enjoyment, and a break from everyday pressures.
Past activities have included:
- Burns Night celebrations
- Theatre outings
- Storytelling evenings
We also currently run walking and fishing groups, encouraging physical activity and social interaction in relaxed settings.
As a transgenerational group, we ensure there are activities tailored for children and young people. These have included weekend trips to places like the Share Centre in Fermanagh and Rathlin Island, where outdoor adventures and fun are the focus!
Chatterbox Club
We understand how important it is to support members who live alone or feel socially isolated. That’s why we’ve launched The Chatterbox Club—a simple but powerful initiative with one goal: to connect people through conversation.
Drop in for a friendly chat with like-minded victims and survivors, build new friendships, or rekindle old ones. And of course, the kettle is always on!
If transport is a concern, just let us know—we’ll gladly arrange for one of our volunteers to bring you to MUVE’s newly enhanced facilities.
Each month, we host a coffee morning alongside an informal talk on a topical or helpful subject.
